La Crema
My
La Crema model is the finest guitar to come from
my workshop. Nothing is spared in time and materials to bring
you this guitar. Only a few are made each year. Select
old growth solid Brazilian rosewood is used for the back and
sides. This wood was obtained by my shop directly from Brazil
before export restrictions were imposed.
Extra
fine, carefully chosen solid wood tops are used in your choice
of cedar, redwood, and German or Engelman spruce, and a scale
length of either 640, 650, or 660mm. If you are not sure what
scale length is best for you, send me a tracing of your hand
and I will select the appropriate scale length for you.
Fine French polish is applied by
hand to the top, and the remainder of the appointments are of
only the highest quality, carefully chosen for harmony and balance
in color. Applied
in the traditional manner, this French polish has been used
for hundreds of years. It produces the best sounding instrument.
French polish must be carefully cared for, and renewed when
it shows signs of wear. It is easily repaired and is completely
nontoxic. The application of a fine French polish finish is
labor intensive, hence more expensive. My standard models include
a French polished top with lacquer back, sides, and neck for
durability. Available for the entire guitar as an option.
The
rosette is based on the themes from the Camino of Santiago de
Compostela in the north of Spain, and is exclusive for my guitars.
