Mademoiselle Doofie, my ever loving companion of the past 14+ years has finished her work on earth, which mostly consisted of loving me, eating a lot, sleeping more, and loving others and being loved.  After a brief illness she resumed her voyage towards eternity.  She was "only" a dog, but she never hurt anyone,  or adandonned anyone who loved her. It has meant a lot to me to see the respect you have given my closest companion. Her character was unique, fiercely independent and stubborn, and yet she never failed to find the person near her who at any particular moment, needed the most love. 

I am very glad she passed away at home, in my arms, and near where she can pass eternity in a beautiful grove of cedar trees, where a garden will be her tribute.

No one loved you more than I did.
I will never stop loving you.
