Honduras Mahogany: The preferred wood for guitar necks due to its stability, weight, and ease of carving. My selection was carefully cut and stored since 1991.

Spanish Cedar: A very traditional wood known for its light weight, unmistakable aroma, and stability. It also makes excellent lining and back brace material. My selection contains some extremely well figured curly material, and was cut and carefully stored since 1986.

Curly Maple
: A very strong and beautiful material, it works well in a laminated neck to add strength and beauty. For some custom guitars, and 12 strings guitars, its added strength permits a thinner neck than other materials. My selection comes from Michigan and was carefully cut and stored since 1993.

Walnut
: A strong and stable wood, effective in laminations with the other woods, and used alone to complement a solid back and sides of walnut. My selection was carefully cut and stored since 1979-84.

Ebony
: My selection of ebony is from the island of Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. This wood is extremely hard, dense and stable. It is used mainly for fingerboards, but can also be used for bridges. When properly prepared, it has a beautiful lustre. Carefully cut and stored since 1986.
